My new companion Elder Alves.
Here we are at Rogerio's baptism...SWEET!
It looks like the email I sent last week didn't get to ya. It got sent back to me - sorry about that.
Not this last Saturday but the other Saturday, Elder Alves and I baptized Rogerio. It was cool and all but I was disappointed that the ward here didn't seem to support it very well. There were only 6 people there to watch the baptism, our ward mission leader didn't even show up. But it went well.
Then last Tuesday we went to Ourinhos-Sao Paulo. It's about 3 hours away from Marilia. We had to go there for a district meeting. It was cool because we got to travel a lot and see new places.
We did a crazy cool family night on Wednesday. I'll send a picture from that family night soon. There are some cool members here that basically are the reason that i like this area. We're going to hang out with them on Christmas Eve. (I'm getting bald....).
It's been raining all week long. We get so wet every day. Working in the rain is so hard. No one answers their doors when it's raining. The rain storm was strong. It knocked down 2 houses here in Marilia.
Elder Alves (who is an incredible missionary) and I are going to baptize a family on the 29th of December. If everything goes according to plan, we'll baptize them. they are neighbors/friends with a big family here in the ward. This family in the ward has 7 kids and the 2 parents - my family's bigger. :) The couple we're going to baptize is Julio and Tania. They have 2 little kids. We're trying to animate the ward here but everyone here seems stiff, dull, boring. They all have their heads down. The bishop won't even put on a Christmas activity. Thats wack. It's christmas.....you have to do a Christmas activity!
That's all for this week. I love you guys.
