Hey everyone,
Good news. This Saturday we're gonna baptize 2 (maybe 3). Diogo and Danilo are only 9 and 10 years old but they moved from a different city to Arapongas to live with their g'ma (1st Counselor in the Primary). So they're gonna get baptized. I'll send pix next week. We did a special fast this last week for something good to happen. Then Diogo and Danilo came outta nowhere. Blessings.....
I interviewed 2 more people last week and I'll interview 1 more this week for another baptism. The missionaries in my District are working well. I like where I am a lot. I'm still struggling with my comp. Things just aren't working out. I'm not too happy being his comp but I can't do anything about that. Just hangin' in.
Time is flying by like crazy. September is about to start. This transfer went by really fast. Last night we taught the first lesson to an awesome family. A 40 year old couple with 3 sons of 17, 12, and 9 years of age. Every one of them accepted our message. They seem really interested. We'll go back there on Thursday night to teach the plan of salvation and invite them to be baptized. I have a lot of hope in them. I hope the best for them.
This last week a local Protestant church "assembleia de deus" of the Assembly of God had quite the festival. They had this promotion called the "Miracle Explosion". The pastor of their church "cured" hundreds of diseases and sicknesses. I wish some of you can see these protestant churches out here. Everyday it seems they trick and scam people. People pay a lot of money to these churches and the pastors just take it and put it right in their pockets. They all have huge houses and nice cars. It's so sad.
Well I don't have much time. I hope everyone is doing fine and that every member that enters into our family feels the love of our Savior in their lives. I have a testimony of the great prophet Joseph Smith. All he wanted to know is what church would lead someone to their salvation. Nn answer to his prayer, God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ appeared to him and showed Joseph what to do. Joseph stepped up to the challenge and did what God asked of him by restoting the Eternal Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.
