This Week in Cambe

Everything looks good to go with Isabelle and Nivia. I'm sending a
picture of the 2 of them. Nivia doesn't have legs. I dont know if I
mentioned that before. She chills in her bed all day. But she wants to get
baptized so it's all good. We still don't know how exactly we're going
to baptize her. Any ideas?

Last Thursday we had the leadership conference. In the past
President Leal had only done the leadership conference with the zone
leaders of the mission. But this time he did it with the zone and
district leaders. So I got to participate. To be honest, it was
the best conference that I have seen during President Leal's time.
We learned a cool way to teach the 1st lesson. Elder Charles Didier
had taught this "new and simple" way of teaching it to the assistants
and President Leal a couple of weeks ago. It was a spiritually
uplifting experience.

Last Sunday we ate lunch at an inactive member's house. She was
having a big BBQ with a ton of people that weren't members. It
reminded me a lot of the family reunions on the Harwell/Cowell side of
the family. Everyone around us was having a good time and laughing -
there was a little beer drinking but me and my comp minded our own
business in the corner drinking soda. But it was fun.
I seriously felt like I was at a family reunion in Lompoc.

My companion is awesome. I have been blessed with a lot of cool
comps lately. Elder Evangelista is a "gangster" - it's so funny. He
sags his pants a little, he likes rap, he uses a lot of slang that
"gangsters" use in the streets here, and a whole bunch of other
stuff. It's funny the way he talks and acts - he makes me laugh. He's a good guy.

That's all for this week. Have a good one.
Elder Carter
